With the support of the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan, the Taiwan Academy in Los Angeles presents Life in Motion, an immersive digital art exhibition by Taiwanese artist Po-Hao Chi, in collaboration with The Music Center. The exhibition will be on view from April 24 to June 28, 2026, at Jerry Moss Plaza in downtown Los Angeles.
The Music Center, formally known as the Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County, is one of the leading performing arts institutions in the United States, dedicated to interdisciplinary arts and public engagement. This first collaboration highlights Taiwan’s internationally recognized excellence in digital and immersive art, fostering cultural exchange between Taiwan and the United States.
Life in Motion is created by Po-Hao Chi in collaboration with Zone Sound Creative. The work integrates real-time generative visuals and interactive sensing technologies to create a responsive environment that evolves with audience movement. Each experience is unique, reflecting the fluid relationship between life, environment, and perception. The project received early-stage support from the immersive digital platform Ambi Space and is included in the Ministry of Culture’s Technology Art Creation Grant publication.
Po-Hao Chi is a Taiwanese new media artist whose practice explores digital imagery and spatial narrative. In 2022, he was selected for a residency at the 18th Street Arts Center in Los Angeles, where he further developed his research on interactive media and spatial perception. This presentation at The Music Center marks an important international showcase of his work.
The exhibition will be open Wednesday through Sunday, from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM on weekdays and 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM on weekends. Admission is free and open to the public.
