Taiwanese American Professionals - Los Angeles (TAP-LA) presents the 3rd annual Taiwanese American Film Festival (TAFF), held on Saturday, Nov 16, at The Downtown Independent in Los Angeles. TAFF is the only showcase in the US of short film and mediaworks by Taiwanese American and Taiwanese international filmmakers. The Festival organizing team is comprised of filmmakers and entertainment industry professionals, all of Taiwanese descent.
Building from the ground up, the Festival has been holding two successful years of events, scouting top indie talents and attracting full-house audiences. This year TAFF is uncovering new territories with the pitch competition, which will nurture the next generation of Taiwanese American filmmakers who are ready to capture audiences with their unique brand of filmmaking and storytelling. Following a theme of "PASSING THE TORCH 傳·承，＂ t he organizing team was inspired by our talents who will for sure bring new voices to the film industry.
