The Taiwan Academy in Los Angeles, in partnership with the Asian World Film Festival (AWFF), held the Taiwan Film Day on June 5, 2022 at Landmark Theater near Hollywood to screen last year’s Golden Horse Award hit film “American Girl.” The film is based on director Feng-I Fiona ROAN’s personal experience of going through cultural impact of traveling between Taiwan and the United States, attracting more than 200 Hollywood filmmakers to participate. The film screening and Q&A resonated with the audience and made Hollywood more aware of Taiwan’s meticulously depicted unique stories.
