From July 22 to 26, 2026, Taiwan artists return to the global stage at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), one of the world’s largest and most influential pop culture conventions. Taiwan Academy in Los Angeles collaborates with the Chinese Animation and Comic Publishers Association (CCPA) to present a vibrant showcase of original comics and graphic novels under the theme “T-Comics: Stories from Taiwan, Connect the World.” The program features exhibitions, artist signings, panel discussions, and interactive events that highlight the creative depth of Taiwanese storytelling.
At Booth 5524, two Taiwanese artists will connect with international fans through daily in-person engagement: PAJI | Born and raised in Taiwan, PAJI immigrated to the United States in 2016. A Registered Nurse turned full-time BL comic artist, they specialize in crafting delicate emotional narratives that explore how wounded souls struggle through love to find wholeness in one another. Beyond storytelling, they are deeply passionate about optimizing production workflows to maximize creative productivity.
Whipped Bro | Whipped Bro captures hilarious, heart-warming, or even dumb moments from Kane & Nini’s daily life since 2014, and has successfully accumulated over 450K fans on SNS. Through the couple’s interactions, along with Kane’s brotherhood and Nini’s besties, audience could easily related to the stories shared in Whipped Bro’s comic and illustrations. Now in its 10th year, Whipped Bro would continue to offer laughs and insights for couples worldwide.
At Artist Alley Booth HH19, an artist of graphic novel is also invited to present his work. Fish Wang | Fish Wang has worked in animation since 1987. A multidisciplinary artist, he also creates picture books, short stories, and three-dimensional sculptures. He has served as planner and editor for comic magazines TAIWAN COMIX (TX) and Graphic Fiction (GF). Wang’s works span comics, fiction, illustrated books, and animation. In animation, his short films Goldfish and Red Tail have won top awards, and The Ghosts of the Dim Path qualified for Academy Award submission.
Taiwan’s delegation also features 35 curated titles from the Taiwan IP Showcase, presented in a full color catalog in English available on site. Visitors can participate in artist signings and join giveaway events that celebrate the diversity of Taiwanese comics.
An official SDCC panel titled “From 0 to 50: Pro Tips for High-Speed Webtoon Production and Studio Workflow” will be held on July 25. PAJI will share how a small creative team can produce up to 50 full-color webtoon panels per week—without sacrificing quality? This panel offers a practical, behind-the-scenes look at the workflows and creative strategies that make high-efficiency storytelling possible.
