Taiwanese Street Art Takes Center Stage at Long Beach Walls 2026 |

Taiwan Academy is thrilled to announce a landmark three-year partnership with the Creative Class Collective, aimed at elevating Taiwanese artists in Southern California ahead of the 2028 Olympics. Kicking off this exciting collaboration for 2026, two exceptional Taiwanese muralists, Bamboo Yang and Huntz Lui, will join the prestigious Long Beach Walls and Art Renzei Festival this year. Residents and art lovers will have the unique opportunity to witness their incredible street art come to life, fostering deep international cultural exchange right in the heart of Long Beach's public art scene around the sports park for LA28. Louisa Coffee Debuts in West Hollywood as a Vibrant Art Center in partnership with Taiwan Academy |

Taiwan’s largest coffee chain, Louisa Coffee, has launched its first U.S. location on West Hollywood’s eastside. More than just a cafe, the stunning historic space is positioning itself as the "Louisa Art Center," featuring rotating gallery exhibitions. The venue opened with its inaugural exhibition, "The Great Mother's Dream: Metamorphosis as Power and Wisdom," running through August 17. With our sponsorship, the show is curated by Vincent Chiang and spotlights female artists. Visitors can enjoy world-class coffee while surrounded by diverse masterpieces, including organic installations hanging above the bar by Amis indigenous artist Ruby Swana, large-scale ink paintings by Lu Wei, and collaborative textile works by Alexandra Carter and Heather Beardsley. Every May, communities across the United States celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, with the second week of May recognized as Taiwanese American Heritage Week.
Beginning May 1, Invisible Nation, a documentary tracing Taiwan’s path toward democracy and its place in the international community, will air on PBS stations across the United States and continue its campus screening tour at universities nationwide.
We invite you to tune in, share the film with friends, and join us in seeing this “invisible nation.”

From Formosa: Taiwan Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble 2026 U.S. Tour Concludes Successfully |

With the support of the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan Academy in Los Angeles helped promote From Formosa: Taiwan Philharmonic Chamber Ensemble 2026 U.S. Tour, featuring musicians from the NSO, also known as the Taiwan Philharmonic, together with pianist Chun-Chieh Yen and the Taiwu Ballads Troupe (TBT).
The tour included a private performance in San Diego on May 13, followed by public performances at Colburn School’s Thayer Hall in Los Angeles on May 15 and Camelback Bible Church in Phoenix on May 17. The Los Angeles performance received an enthusiastic response from the audience, with the ensemble presenting a special Schumann encore. The Phoenix concert also featured Native American flute master R. Carlos Nakai, highlighting meaningful cross-cultural musical exchange.
The tour concluded with its final performance on May 19 at Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center in New York, bringing this U.S. tour to a successful close.
