Taiwanese Short Film Night Bus Selected for 2022 Sundance Film Festival

The Sundance Institute unveiled its lineup for the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, set to run January 20-30, which comprises 82 features from 28 countries and 59 shorts from 26 countries. The Taiwanese short film “Night Bus” is selected in “International Animation Short Films” program and will be screened in person and online with other short films. Directed by Joe Hsieh, “Night Bus” not only received Grand Prix at Animafest Zagreb and Public Prize at Ottawa International Animation Festival, but also represents Taiwan to compete at the 94th Academy Awards for the Best Animated Short Film. It depicts that on a late-night bus, a panic scream shatters the night’s calm, a necklace is stolen, followed by a tragic and fatal road accident. The series of intriguing events that follows reveals love, hatred, and vengeance.
